A lost kitten

Its been really cold here for over a week. Freezing rain, ice snow, etc. Well, one night we heard some meowing under our carport. We found a kitten. She was hungry so we fed her a little outside then she came to the door and wanted in. Since we already had a cat she went straight to the cat food bowl and started eatting. Poor thing was starving!
She ate for a good 10 minutes. Poor baby.

Then the boys had their turns petting and playing with her.

This cat was way to friendly to be an outside cat. We let her stay inside where it was warm. She snuggled on the couch and made her self at home. She even climbed on my husband once and curled up on him and went to sleep. She was way to calm and use to people and being in a house to have been born outside. And the way she took a spot on the couch like it was something she was use. Someone had to of put this poor kitten out. I dought she got out and was lost cause we tried letting her back outside once and she walked out the door, but as soon as we closed the door she was meowing. She meowed at the carport door, back door and front door. She even climbed in windows we were closest too and meowed. Smart kitty. Unfortunately we aren't suppose to have pets. We got away with the cat we already have cause she was declawed before we got her. But there was no way we could keep this kitten. My kids were upset, but our neighbor across the street loves cats. She loves all animals. She has cats, dogs, turtles, a racoon and who knows what else. So, we took the kitten to the neighbor and she gladly took in the poor kitten. We were all happy. And glad that kitten has a nice warm place now.
