China Lap Book

We wrapped the week up of our China Geography study. We decided to try our hand at lapbooking.

This one is Erics.

The cover has a map of China and some info about China.

I put 2 folders together cause the kids had so many printouts from China this week. There was so much information. I even added construction paper as flip ups and downs.

Erics name and Hello and in Chinese and the animals of China flip book. As well as info on a Chinese festival.

A chinese dragon and info on a chinese instrument.

And of course gotta have Confucius.

Info on China and Chinese numbers that the kids practiced writting all week.

The great wall of China on the top flap and The River with 2 names and a Chinese Fable on the bottom flap.

The bottom papers unfold to get the whole story too.

And they were kinda long.

And this is it all open. Theres stuff on both sides of the red papers.

And of course the flag on the back. This lap book came out a bit thick, but really cool too. It took a bit of time to put together but my kids love it. And its a great way to keep all the info they learned about in one spot in kind of a cool way instead of just papers laying around.

This looks really great!

Not the traditional type of lapbook though I notice, but that’s ok because our lapbooks have evolved into what we refer to as our ‘study folders’ (a cross between lapbooks & notebooks) rather than the traditional lapbooks we seem to see everywhere as well. That’s the great thing about homeschooling we can do what works for us!

Tell Eric he did a superb job!
